03 / Little discoveries

Beyond the landmarks,
find your own scenery.

The exploration journal introduces 12 main places. Look back at the map for six small glowing points: the Tourist Pier, Monkey Hill, Koh Puos and its bridge, the airport and the autonomous port.

Tap a light, read about the place, then choose to save it. These discoveries appear in the personal scenery group in your travel collection, building a list of places that caught your eye.

04 / Hidden chapter · Interactive folklore

Follow a scarf
into From the Sea.

Find the Preah Thong & Neang Neak statue in the exploration journal. Open its details and choose “Enter the legend · From the Sea.” Join Preah Thong and Neang Neak on a voyage about trust, promises and finding a home.

Notice the tide marks, the seed bag and the scarf. Make choices in conversation and discover different endings. After completing the legend, return to the statue and look for a short follow-up about the scarf.

Inspired by Khmer folklore. Character choices and branching endings are original interactive fiction.

Green tourism · Shared care

Leave with memories.
Leave the beauty intact.

  • Travel considerately
  • Reduce litter
  • Respect local culture

Care for every landscape you discover

In keeping with the Green Tourism Season initiative, Sihanoukville Guide aims to introduce more people to local tourism resources. It also encourages every visitor to travel considerately, reduce litter and respect local culture. Together, we can care for beaches, islands and public spaces, leaving with good memories while preserving the beauty of the places we visit.

Before you set off

Make a little room for curiosity.

Must I collect every place to enter the hidden chapter?

No. Open the statue’s details from the exploration journal to find the legend entry. Dara’s seaside stall offers a separate story.

How do discoveries differ from story keepsakes?

The small glowing points are places you can choose to save. Story endings create keepsakes in a separate journeys group, where you can open the storybook.

Can I continue a story after leaving?

Progress and collections are saved in the current browser. Return to the same browser to resume an unfinished journey. Changing devices or browsers, or clearing website data, may leave those records behind.

How do I explore on each screen?

Open the map in a browser on a phone, tablet or computer. On touchscreens, drag to move and tap places. On a computer, use a mouse or arrow keys; plus/minus zoom and 0 shows the full map. The journal also lets you select main places directly.

Can the illustration replace a real navigation map?

It is an artistic interpretation, with adjusted proportions and positions. Use the real-map link in place details to search by name, and check current local conditions before travelling.

Next stop: Sihanoukville.
